The slightly shorter depth — compared with the CB-9000 series — helps the drum respond quickly making it easier to produce clear articulate bass notes in orchestral passages.Solid steel hoops reinforce the drums tonal core giving each stroke a more defined presence than traditional wooden hoops. Both sides are fitted with Yamaha Remo Fiberskyn heads chosen for their natural skin-like attack and deep resonance. Together the shell hoops and heads create a balanced orchestral voice with clarity and depth.
